Norm’s Farms: Elderberries and their benefits,
Let me tell you about Norm’s Farms and what the elderberries are great for. Considering that most of us have huge issues with immunity and we get sick quite a bit, these will benefit us all. The first thing I’ll tell you about is the elderberries themselves and then about Norm’s Farms.
Elderberries and their benefits range for more than just the immunity of our whole family. They have been used for quite a long time in many health related issues. The health benefits go all the way back to ancient Egypt or ancient Greece. Maybe even further back than that. I can’t remember, but I remember reading that somewhere. It’s know as an antiviral remedy. Some of the remedies include naturally improving colds, the flu, sinus issues, nerve pain, inflammation, chronic fatigue, allergies, constipation and even cancer. Keep in mind that the cancer is based on a belief.
The one thing that happens in our house the most is that we all end up with at least 2 or 3 sinus infections each year. The elderberries are great for anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties which fight the sinus infections.
We also have diabetics in our family. These wonderful foods also helps to lower blood sugar.
About Norm’s Farms
Norm’s Farms gather up the freshest elderberries in the Northern America that are grown by small family farms, including their own. They use them to create jams, jellies, preserves, supplements and things that are a great way to get your children to take them to increase their immunity. They do carry them in liquids that are for taking by teaspoons too.
Norm’s Farms carry a children’s Elderberry Extract and it’s a clean and simple extract for your child. The wellness syrup is for treating your colds and flu symptoms when you start or get sick. The dosage is via teaspoon. It’s kind of like a cold medicine that you get over the counter without all of the other chemicals that are included. The wellness extract is for the treatment of this and it’s a natural method.
As odd as I found this, they make syrups for creating cold drinks and cocktails. I’m still looking on their site and maintain the other things I need to create the sodas.
Be sure to check out the jellies, jams and preserves made of elderberries!
Elderberry Ginger Pecan has a ginger taste to it. However it’s not strong enough to twist your taste buds and make it weird. I normally don’t like ginger for anything, but this changed my view of if it were ever put into anything, would I eat it? Well, I use to think that I couldn’t. This proved me wrong.
Elderberry jam and jelly is wonderful too. The taste is not overwhelming and it’s a great way to have breakfast and boost the immunity and other health issues being treated at the same time. It goes great on toast, biscuits and bagels.
Elderberry Preserves is the best according to my taste buds. The reason is I have NEVER loved or even liked preserves. I don’t know how, but this won me over. For 38 years people had tried everything to get me to eat them. I tried them once, couldn’t stand them. This one is my favorite!
I’ve tried these with the recipes that they sent. I couldn’t get a photo, as always, my children ran through and it vanished. One of these days, the more I increase it to make more, I’ll have enough to photograph. I’m never lucky enough to have anything left!
Norm’s Farms send 2 recipe cards with every order. It doesn’t matter if it’s for a meal, desert or cocktail. Even soda recipes are there and sent.
You can also create your own recipes! Deserts as well as savory meals are a great thing with these.
