Buy Matcha and you will experience a whole host of fantastic health benefits, including the lowering of cholesterol and blood sugar, disease prevention, and natural and effective detoxification. Nevertheless, there is a lot more to Matcha tea than meets the eye. Read on to discover some things you need to know.

Firstly, it is vital to recognize that Matcha is unlike any other form of tea. The word ‘Matcha’ means powdered tea, which means you are going to be drinking the leaves, rather than discarding them. This ensures that you benefit from a lot more benefits. Your gastro doctor may recommend switching to this from normal tea because of the health gains. You can also expect better texture and flavor because the preparation of this tea involves covering the tea plants with shade cloths prior to being harvested. Another thing you should know about this tea is that it can actually be incorporated into meals. You don’t have to drink it as a beverage; you can include it in savory and sweet dishes. There are many recipes online for everything from Matcha stir-fries and soups to Matcha brownies and muffins. Last but not least, another vital point to bear in mind is the fact that the quality of Matcha can vary. The more vibrant the Matcha is, the higher quality it will be. Don’t simply look for the cheapest Matcha you can find, as you don’t want to suffer from poor quality Matcha as a consequence. You should also ensure the Matcha has not been mixed with too many added ingredients, as some have everything from powdered milk to sugar incorporated.

Delicious Matcha Recipes

Japanese Matcha green tea presents a lot of great benefits, including weight loss assistance, healthier skin, improved metabolism, and much more. However, not everyone is a fan of green tea. There is no need to miss out on the benefits if this applies to you, as there are many different ways you can get your Matcha fix, as you will discover below.

Let’s begin with Matcha muffins. After all, who doesn’t love this baked treat? The recipe we are going to give you makes 18 muffins. You will need the following; 175 milk, 5g Matcha tea, four tbsp. of melted butter, two eggs, two tbsp. of baking powder, ¾ tsp. of salt, 67g of sugar, and 280g of self-raising flour. Start by preheating the oven to Gas Mark 7 / 210C. After this, grab a large mixing bowl and sift the Matcha powder, baking powder, sugar, salt, and flour. In another bowl, beat the eggs, and add the melted butter, and then the milk. Combine the two liquids into the one bowl and mix. After this, spoon the mixture into a muffin tray. Bake in the oven for about 15 to 20 minutes. Another delicious recipe is the iced Matcha latte. For this, you will need 1g of Matcha tea, 50ml hot water, four ice cubes, and 200ml of cold milk. Add 50ml of hot water to a glass, and then add the Matcha powder. After this, whisk until it is frothy. Add the cold milk and stir. Finish off by adding the ice cubes and grabbing a straw to drink.
