As a result of the pandemic, most of us have been working from home for over a year. Are you enjoying it, or is it getting you down? In case the latter applies, you need to make some changes to make working from home fun, healthier, and more productive.

Get a more comfortable chair

Deck chairs, dining room chairs, and bar stools – we have seen remote workers who sit in these chairs daily. However, these chairs can harm your health. Although a good office chair can be a bit pricey, you can still settle for an affordable but comfortable office chair. If you don’t want to suffer serious back pains later in life, getting a comfortable office chair should be your first financial priority.

Organize and declutter

We know the effects of working in a disorganized and cluttered office – it can slow you down, make you irritable, cause stress, and even make you more unproductive. The saying ‘tidy desk, tidy mind’ couldn’t be truer.

Keeping your home office desk organized and clutter-free can be more challenging than you think. Each place creates an available surface to place down anything from clothes for washing to kids’ toys. Therefore, you need to always be keen and make sure that other family members know your computer desk is off-limits.

Set up a distraction-free home office

Most of us who started working from home after the pandemic faced numerous distractions, including kids and other family members. However, you can avoid these distractions by having a designated area. This could be a guest room or a corner of your living room. Ensure that the area you choose is peaceful, quiet, and productive.  You can make your office space more comfortable by investing in the right equipment and track your earnings when you open a euro bank account.

Work out and stay active

At the start of the pandemic, most of us didn’t plan on how to exercise at home. After all, the pandemic would only last a few weeks, right? However, if you have remained cooped up at home and rarely exercise, this may be the reason why you’re feeling unmotivated and unproductive. Doing small bursts of exercise will greatly improve your health and well-being. To stay more active, ensure that the exercises you do are enjoyable.

Clean your desk, monitor, and keyboard

We’ve now learned to wash our hands thoroughly. But do you remember to clean your monitor and keyboard? According to the National Center for Health Research, laptops are a leading breeding area for bacteria. Therefore, you need to also clean them thoroughly with the right products. This will protect your health, improve the performance of your computer and prolong its lifespan.

Invest in productivity tools

Most of us don’t like to admit to ourselves that we can be more efficient and productive with the help of some applications. What’s more, most of these applications are cheap or even absolutely free. You can research applications that can securely store or recall your passwords or apps that automate repetitive tasks. Such applications can help you save several hours when working from home.

Bottom Line

Most of us thought that working from home clad in pajamas would be the best experience ever. However, over time it can be monotonous, and you can quickly become bored and unproductive. To prevent this, you should declutter your home, get a more comfortable chair, exercise, invest in productivity tools, and avoid distractions.
