Rain Rain Go Away #Giveaway Hop ~ Kitchen Scissors Shears

Welcome to the “Rain Rain Go Away Giveaway Hop“!  Our prize up for grabs for you is a pair of Kitchen Scissors Shears.  This is being hosted by The Kids Did It and The Mommy Island.

I actually use a pair that is like this, only mine are red.  They cut through chicken bones, boneless chicken breasts, roast (which I do to save money on buying roast beef and it helps with creating stew meat and even bite sized roast and not having to cut it up afterwards.  That also means you don’t have as long to cook the roast!)

These also have a bottle opener on the end of the shears.  It’s a wonderful tool and saves a lot of time and doesn’t hurt your hands as bad as a knife.  They can cut like a knife!  Be careful when using these!

Good luck on the giveaway!

    • Honesty, I don’t think I could either. My children would be lost and driving me crazy. That is how they cook when I am working or gone to pick up the hubby from work.

    • I know what you mean. I’ve replaced all of my old ones for new ones and they do make a huge difference! I have thought that I lost my mind and then when I used them, it was like “Why didn’t I do this sooner!”

  1. I would have to say my can opener, because I go through them at least one a year. I sometimes wonder what I am opening so much of!!!

    • I haven’t used an electric can opener in a long time. I got tired of not being able to open something when our power goes out during a storm. My children would drive me crazy because the teenager eats carrots out of the can and she got irritated because she couldn’t open the can. So, I have a $15 hand can opener that is easy to use and not so irritating on my hands. However, I know what it’s like not having one too. I miss it. I just don’t mind the fact that it’s something that the children can use and not drive me crazy in the process. Teenagers can be so picky!

  2. I have one spatula I use all the time. That ONE is perfect size for flipping eggs, etc. As a sngle dad raising my 5 kids, I tend to use it a lot and always look for that one spatula.

  3. My can opener, I have other gadgets that do things in the kitchen but when I get down to basics it has to be this one.

    • I have about 8 different sizes of cutting boards! My children don’t understand why their mom uses all of these and why they are difference sizes. But mom knows best on this one. I’ll teach them when they want to learn to cook (except the 12 year old already knows how and her older sisters do not).

  4. I don’t know what it’s called, but we have this rubber thing that helps pull lids off of things by giving you a better grip. It’s amazing.

    • I’ll have to look for one. My hands are horrible when opening certain things. A pickle jar is another matter. My grandmother showed me how to pop it on the bottom of the jar and then it almost always opens right up.
