As a family Bible, the ESV Family Devotional Bible is meant for you to be together as a family and read together. It’s a great way to spend time as a family and enjoy a more lifeline ability with your children. It helps with guiding your children and even the entire family in one direction. With questions in this book, it gives you the chance to sit and talk about each part of the Bible as a family and to tell each other how you would comprehend each part of it. It creates family time!
Inside of this beautiful Bible, you’ll find questions for the family, key verses and even short stories that go with each verse that comes along. It is some of the most famous “stories” that are found in the Bible!
There are very colorful illustrations, a handy ribbon to mark your place when you are done with each lesson / session. In the back, you’ll find amazing colorful maps that are easy to read. After the very last page of the Revelations, you’ll find an “Index of Devotions” with page numbers that they can be found on. As usual, with any Bible, you’ll find the Contents with each testament at the beginning. You’ll also find the “Preface” and “About” page at the beginning. The “About” page is something that I highly recommend reading with the family BEFORE you begin using the book.
This book is a great book for any and all ages of the family. Not just because it’s a Bible, but the smaller children would love the illustrations and get more interested in it. For them, these would make great “Bed Time Stories” to start them off in that wonderful direction. Each part of the Bible is a story to them in the beginning. As they grow, they know these stories as they begin Bible lessons in church and even in their every day lives. It becomes a part of them and is something that they remember like a “Fairy Tale”. When they become older and grow, they learn that these are true stories, not fairy tales. I’ve done this with my children, and it’s something that I think most parents should try as they are started off as smaller children.
This Bible is also printed by “Crossway”. It does contain the Old and New Testaments.
I do have one of these up for grabs as a giveaway! If you would like to win your very own ESV Family Devotional Bible, now is your chance. It is a hardback book!
