Here lately, most of you know that I’ve been sharing my cooking and recipes with you. Well, this is no different. There is one difference. This one is only a 3 ingredient recipe!
If you’re ready for a change of pace and a cheap meal, then this is for all of us that have teenagers and picky eating husbands. I’m a country girl and my husband is a city boy. My children, all of them, are a bit of both and everything in between. This is one meal that we all can agree on. I’m sure that you’re family will to.
I just a new kitchen appliance that I can’t wait to use. This recipe is where I get to brake it in for the first time use.
Note: Remember, anything else that you plan to add, including cheese of your choice, is extremely up to you!
2 lbs of ground up roast beef (fresh)
2 packs of brown gravy (brand of your choice)
2 packs of Hoggie (sub) rolls.
Step 1. Brown the beef in a suitable frying pan.
Step 2. Mix the brown gravy to where you have at least 4 cups of gravy, minus 1 cup of water that the packs call for. You don’t want it to thin for when it finishes cooking.
Step 3. Use the Cook’s Companion Wonder Pot and place the gravy liquid into the pot. Turn it on stew for about 5 minutes. You’re not going to continue it on this temp but it helps to speed it up to be warm enough to add the meat.
Step 4. Add the beef and turn down to steam. Lock the lid and set the timer to 10 minutes. Walk away!
When the timer is done, then you’re all ready to go!
That is the 4 step 3 ingredient meal of the day!
When you pick the roast that you want, be sure to have the fat taken off BEFORE they grind it up. By having a roast beef ground up, there is very little fat / grease to worry about and healthier for you! This is the ONLY grease that came after browning the ground roast beef. Compare that to your normal hamburger.

My thoughts on the Cook’s Companion Wonder Pot:
After fixing that, my daughter wanted broccoli and cheese. It took less than 10 minutes after shutting the vent on the top of the lid. I put in the broccoli, a small spoon of butter, cheese and milk. In less than 10 minutes, it was tender and ready to go! The broccoli was actually frozen!
Yes, this is a great investment and a wonderful item to have in the kitchen. I love mine! Nope, it’s not going anywhere. I actually gave my mother back her slow cooker.
I’m thinking that if I can find jars small enough to fit in this thing, I can do some canning without having to use anything else. I’m going to try it too. I can’t wait!
