Not many of us got the right amount of sleep, and if we do it isn’t always the best quality. Not going to be early enough to properly relaxed is a common problem. Or, playing games or scrolling on our mobile phones play a big part in not getting into the best ‘space’ for sleeping. Water. There isn’t much to say here apart from the chances are you could do with drinking some more. So try adding some alarms on your phone or watch to remind you to have a glass at least every hour.

Hearing a sight tests sometimes get pushed back as being a bit excessive or too time consuming. But, if you work on a computer, watch a lot of TV or even drive a lot you should be getting your eyes tested at least yearly. As for hearing, you may not notice small drops or issues before it’s too late. Many places offering hearing tests, as well as the ability to go to your GP and have a discussion. There are so many options when it comes to helping both your sight and hearing. New hearing aids, beautiful frames for glasses and the prices can be pretty reasonable.

Meditation can give you small breaks in every day that help you lower stress levels, as well as be able to be more mindful in your everyday life. Headspace is a great guided meditation, starting off small and helping you build up to longer periods.

Feet work really hard, and sometimes they don’t get the love they deserve. Soak your feet once a week to help ease aches and pains. You can do this in warm water with a little lavender for some extra relaxation. Peppermint foot spray is a great way to cool hot and tired feet too.

If you find your joints need a little bit of TLC, and let’s face it, most do. Then speak to your GP about what supplements might be best to include in your diet. Glucosamine and Cod Liver oil are popular choices to help out with keeping your joints supple, and the best new is you can start them at any time.

Speaking of essential vitamins. Make sure you’re heading outside for a minimum of 10 minutes a day. Millions of us are a little light on the amount of vitamin D we should have. Heading out for a walk will give you a little bit of exercise, and vitamin D. Two birds with one lovely stone.

Small changes can make a big difference in your health, and we can all do with that.
