Countless people over the years have discovered that building their own PC offers a certain level of customization, flexibility, and expertise not always found in pre-packaged gaming purchases. With a little bit of resourcefulness and patience, would-be builders can source a variety of unique parts to build truly beast-like machines for gaming, rendering, and other intense computing activities.

Nevertheless, there are many decent values on the market at any given time – and with a new year comes a new series of high-performance monster PCs ready to deliver on all fronts. It might surprise some to know, but there are even high-quality gaming machines that are more affordable to purchase as-is than by sourcing the products one-by-one and building it from scratch.

2019 is shaping up to be a banner year for gaming: let’s take a look at the best gaming PCs of the year – at a variety of price points – and determine what each has to offer consumers.

  1. MSI Trident 3

At the lower end of the price spectrum for excellent gaming PCs, the MSI Trident 3 offers a wealth of power in a small console. Smaller than most gaming consoles such as the Xbox One, this option can be found for around $700. Its compact size makes it a perfect addition to any living room or small space and it offers a plethora of ports that cannot be found on some other, more expensive PCs. Where it lacks in sheer power supply capacity it makes up for in convenience. For such a reasonable price, the MSI Trident 3 deserves consideration when both on a budget and seeking a slim alternative to a clunky, powerful tower.

2. Dell XPS Tower Special Editio

Another compact and affordable option in gaming PCs for 2019 is the Dell XPS Tower Special Edition series. As with most XPS offerings that have come to market, this year’s version offers a wide variety of Alienware pre-built options. The most affordable option on this list starts at roughly $1,000, making it a great choice for a powerful, entry-level machine. The basic model includes a 256 GB solid state drive and an additional 2 TB traditional hard drive, providing plenty of room for all of your gaming desires. Even for those who may want something a bit more powerful, upgrading this gaming PC – given the wide array of higher-end components and variations available – is quite easy.

3. Acer Aspire Gaming Desktop GX-281-UR18

A solid mid-level gaming PC for beginners – as well as those without tons of cash to throw about – is the Acer Aspire Gaming Desktop GX-281-UR18. This option – currently available for around $1,200 – features quality Ryzen and Nvidia technology. Coming standard with a traditional HDD (upgrades are available), Acer has minimized performance in some areas to improve the cost-benefit value for the gaming experience. With a variety of upgrade options available, making an initial investment now and upgrading components as you please later could not be easier. This gaming PC also avoids splurging on unnecessary aesthetics and lighting, but that just means a better value for what you pay when it comes to playing the latest games.

4. Alienware Aurora R7

Alienware’s chassis have long been known for style, along with a certain over-the-top design. Much of what consumers appreciate about the brand can be found in the aesthetic qualities of the Alienware Aurora R7. This mid-level gaming PC is a solid option for 2019, and also features a variety of components, including i5 and i7 Intel processors, standard hard drives and solid-state options, and anywhere from 8 to 64 GB of RAM. Available for around $1,500, shoppers won’t have to take out loans to afford this solid contender. Some will value the fact that full-sized gaming and computer components fit into a much smaller PC case, thereby minimizing the need for space.

5. IbuyPower Snowblind

Those looking for powerful options and who also value the aesthetic components may find what they’re looking for in the iBuyPower Snowblind. This premium option (currently available for $2,300) includes an Intel Core i7-7800 processor and a 500 GB solid state drive. The desktop also includes an interactive LCD display that can be utilized to display any and all vital information about the machine. With several different configurations available – and an easy-to-upgrade setup – owners will be pleased with every facet of this high-end gaming solution.

6. Corsair Vengeance 5180

Those in the mood for RGB-lit tower options that also bring a punch of power to the gaming world won’t be disappointed with the Corsair Vengeance 5180. Its dual-chamber design helps improve performance and rid the tower of heat, while the 2.5 GB of combined solid state and traditional storage space provide plenty of room for even the largest games. Starting at $2,400, you might need to take out a loan to afford this beauty up-front (need a quick loan? Read more here if you want a loan that comes with instant approval and same day cash payout) – but its powerful nature and easily-upgraded components mean that this solid solution can and will continue to deliver long after 2019 has passed.

7. Corsair One i160

By far the most expensive item on our list, the Corsair One i160 is currently available for approximately $3,500 online and in stores. Packing an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080, 32 GB of memory and an Intel Core i7 or i9, gamers who can afford it should consider this powerhouse of powerhouses. Smaller than most full-size tower PCs, this compact design manages to be just a bit bigger than your PS4 or Xbox. The Corsair One i160 isn’t in the price range of everybody, but the quality and component selection make this a long-term commitment (and one that’s well worth the price tag). Those who value compactness and a sheer overpowering force for enjoying games have every reason to consider this top-notch contender.

These seven gaming PCs each offer something of value for those who love games, regardless of the exact budget with which they have to work. Making the most of each dollar is crucial when purchasing a new computer: these options are among the best currently available in 2019 at varying price points for consumers, so take note.
